Sino-Mongolian Traditional Medicine Hospital — Medical Furniture Project

Project Background

The Sino-Mongolian Traditional Medicine Hospital in Wuhai, Inner Mongolia, integrates traditional Chinese medicine with Mongolian traditional healing practices, providing comprehensive inpatient and outpatient services across multiple specialist departments. The hospital’s new-build programme required a complete medical furniture solution that respected the aesthetic sensibility of traditional Mongolian medicine spaces while meeting modern infection-control and clinical workflow standards. ZHOBAI Medical Furniture was appointed as the one-stop furniture partner for this project.

Working from the hospital’s architectural drawings, ZHOBAI’s design team produced a complete furniture layout plan covering all clinical, storage, and public zones. Custom nursing stations were designed with integrated dual-zone workspaces separating medication preparation from patient-facing consultation surfaces. Herbal medicine storage cabinets were configured with adjustable compartment dividers to accommodate the hospital’s wide formulary of traditional remedies, while all surfaces were finished in easy-clean materials rated for repeated disinfection.

Scope of Supply

ZHOBAI delivered a fully coordinated furniture package covering every clinical and administrative zone, manufactured in-house to GB/T medical-grade standards. All products were supplied with CE certification and ISO 13485 quality documentation at handover:

• Nursing Stations: Custom-configured guidance desks with integrated medication preparation zones, double-zone clean/contaminated separation, and rounded anti-collision edges — designed to support both TCM and Mongolian medicine nursing workflows.
• Consultation & Treatment Rooms: Acupuncture treatment couches, moxibustion-safe work surfaces, cupping therapy trolleys, and clinician workstations across all specialist outpatient rooms.
• Herbal Medicine Storage: Floor-to-ceiling herb storage cabinet systems with individually labelled sliding drawers, locked medication bays, and dehumidification-compatible ventilated shelving.
• Ward Furniture: Hospital beds with four-height adjustment and full-perimeter bedrails, co-ordinated bedside cabinets with individual patient lockable storage, over-bed tables, and IV stands.
• Sterile & Instrument Storage: Double-door sterile storage cabinets elevated 200 mm above floor, dressing trolleys, and preparation-room counters meeting infection-control standards.
• Public & Reception Areas: Reception counters, waiting-area seating, and corridor furniture finished in warm tones complementing the hospital’s traditional interior design palette.

Project Highlights

• Zone-Specific Customisation: Herb storage cabinets were custom-specified with labelled drawer systems; acupuncture couches were fitted with removable paper-roll holders and integrated lighting for precise treatment positioning.
• Antibacterial & Durable Materials: All work surfaces finished in medical-grade Trespa board; metal frames electrostatically powder-coated; easy-clean antimicrobial seating upholstery throughout.
• Space Optimisation: Compact ward storage units were designed to fit narrow ward corridors; folding escort chairs were specified to minimise footprint when not in use.
• End-to-End Delivery: ZHOBAI managed the full supply chain from dimensional survey through installation and staff familiarisation training, with zero defect returns at handover.
