Project Background

Shanghai New Vision Eye Hospital is a specialist private ophthalmology facility serving patients across Greater Shanghai. With a mission to deliver international-standard eye care, the hospital’s new fit-out required furniture that balanced clinical precision with a reassuring, light-filled patient environment. ZHOBAI Medical Furniture was selected as the one-stop furniture partner, responsible for designing, manufacturing, and installing the complete furniture package across all outpatient, treatment, and recovery zones.

ZHOBAI’s project team conducted an on-site dimensional survey and produced detailed space-planning drawings before production began, ensuring every workstation, cabinet, and seating unit was custom-dimensioned to the architectural drawings. The furniture palette — white laminate cabinetry with brushed aluminium trim — was selected in close consultation with the hospital’s interior design team to create a calm, clinical atmosphere aligned with the facility’s premium brand positioning.

Scope of Supply

ZHOBAI delivered a fully coordinated furniture package covering every clinical and administrative zone, manufactured in-house to GB/T medical-grade standards. All products were supplied with CE certification and ISO 13485 quality documentation at handover:

• Ophthalmic Examination Rooms: Adjustable examination chairs, slit-lamp instrument support tables, and clinician workstations across all consulting rooms, dimensioned to allow unobstructed patient flow.
• Pre- & Post-Operative Areas: Recovery lounge seating, dilation waiting chairs, and drop-application treatment stations designed for the surgical patient pathway.
• Nursing Stations: Custom-dimensioned counter desks with integrated medication and instrument storage, anti-collision rounded edges, and clear clean/contaminated zone separation.
• Sterile & Medication Storage: Floor-to-ceiling medical cabinet systems with double-door sterile storage bays, adjustable mid-shelving, and bases elevated 200 mm above floor level to prevent bacterial and moisture ingress.
• Waiting & Reception Areas: High-capacity reception counters and comfortable waiting-area seating coordinated with the clinic’s interior colour scheme.

Project Highlights

• Zone-Specific Customisation: Examination room furniture was dimensioned case-by-case against equipment footprints; recovery seating was specified for extended dilation wait times with ergonomic lumbar support.
• Antibacterial & Durable Materials: All countertops use medical-grade Trespa (抗倍特) board — acid-alkali resistant, scratch-proof, and rated for repeated disinfection; metal fittings are electrostatically powder-coated for corrosion resistance.
• Space Optimisation: Slim-profile under-counter storage units and wall-mounted instrument brackets maximised usable floor area in compact examination rooms.
• End-to-End Delivery: On-site survey → space planning → factory production → logistics coordination → professional installation, with full handover documentation, all managed by a single ZHOBAI project manager.
