Nantong First People’s Hospital — Integrated Medical Furniture Project

Project Background

Nantong First People’s Hospital is one of the leading tertiary healthcare facilities in Jiangsu Province, designated as a Grade III Class A general hospital and serving as a regional medical centre for Nantong City. As part of a major expansion and renovation programme, the hospital required a comprehensive one-stop medical furniture solution covering its enlarged outpatient building, multiple inpatient towers, emergency department, and medical technology zones. ZHOBAI Medical Furniture was selected through competitive procurement as the primary furniture partner for this landmark project.

The scale of this project — spanning multiple buildings, dozens of specialist departments, and thousands of individual furniture items — demanded a highly organised project management approach. ZHOBAI assigned a dedicated full-time project manager from survey through handover, coordinating production scheduling, phased delivery, and a large on-site installation team. Custom nursing station counters were individually dimensioned per nursing core across all inpatient floors, and the complete ward furniture programme was delivered in a co-ordinated colourway aligned with the hospital’s interior design specification.

Scope of Supply

ZHOBAI delivered a fully coordinated furniture package manufactured in-house to GB/T medical-grade standards, with CE and ISO 13485 documentation at handover:

• Nursing Stations: Custom L-shaped and curved counter systems with integrated medication bays, dual-zone clean/contaminated workflow separation, cable management, and anti-collision rounded edges across all inpatient floors and outpatient nursing cores.
• Ward Furniture: Electric-adjustment hospital beds with full bedrail systems, co-ordinated bedside cabinets, over-bed tables, folding escort chairs, and IV stands for all ward room categories including standard, premium, and VIP.
• Emergency Department: Resuscitation room furniture, emergency treatment trolleys, medication carts, triage examination tables, and high-capacity emergency waiting seating.
• Outpatient Department: Consultation workstations, examination tables, infusion chairs, and waiting-area seating across all specialist outpatient clinics.
• Treatment & Sterile Rooms: Floor-to-ceiling medical cabinet systems with double-door sterile storage elevated 200 mm above floor, preparation-room counters, and dressing trolleys.
