Jiange County Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital — Furniture Fit-Out

Project Background

Jiange County Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital is the primary TCM healthcare provider for Jiange County and the surrounding communities in Guangyuan City, Sichuan Province. The hospital’s expansion programme required a complete furniture fit-out combining the specific functional requirements of traditional Chinese medicine clinical spaces — including acupuncture rooms, moxibustion treatment areas, and herbal pharmacy — with the universal standards of modern medical-grade furniture. ZHOBAI Medical Furniture was selected as the one-stop furniture partner for this project.

ZHOBAI’s project team developed a tailored furniture specification that addressed the unique clinical workflows of a TCM facility. Acupuncture treatment couches were specified with adjustable face cradles and integrated paper-roll holders; moxibustion treatment rooms received smoke-resistant, easy-clean work surfaces rated for high-temperature exposure; and the herbal pharmacy was fitted with a custom-configured drawer cabinet system, with individually labelled compartments accommodating the hospital’s full formulary. All items were manufactured in ZHOBAI’s own factory to GB/T standards and delivered as a coordinated programme aligned to the hospital’s phased commissioning schedule.

Scope of Supply

ZHOBAI delivered a fully coordinated furniture package covering every clinical and administrative zone, manufactured in-house to GB/T medical-grade standards. All products were supplied with CE certification and ISO 13485 quality documentation at handover:

• Acupuncture & Treatment Rooms: Adjustable acupuncture couches with face cradles, paper-roll holders, and integrated instrument trays; physiotherapy plinths and positioning wedges for adjunct treatment areas.
• Nursing Stations: Custom counter systems with integrated medication and instrument storage, dual-zone clean/contaminated workflow separation, and anti-collision edge profiles across all nursing floors.
• Herbal Pharmacy Storage: Custom-configured drawer cabinet systems with individually labelled herb compartments, lockable controlled-substance bays, and ventilated shelving for bulk herb storage.
• Ward Furniture: Hospital beds with four-height adjustment, co-ordinated bedside cabinets, over-bed tables, and IV stands for all inpatient rooms.
• Sterile & Dressing Rooms: Double-door sterile storage cabinets elevated 200 mm above floor; dressing trolleys and preparation-room counters meeting infection-control standards.
• Waiting & Reception Areas: Reception counters and waiting-area seating in warm tones complementing the hospital’s traditional interior design scheme.

Project Highlights

• TCM-Specific Customisation: Every acupuncture couch, herbal storage cabinet, and moxibustion work surface was specified for the clinical protocols of traditional Chinese medicine, not adapted from general-purpose designs.
• Antibacterial & Durable Materials: Moxibustion room surfaces finished in high-temperature-resistant medical-grade laminate; all countertops in Trespa board rated for chemical disinfectant exposure.
• Space Optimisation: Compact folding escort chairs and wall-mounted instrument brackets kept treatment room floor space clear for clinical movement.
