Huili City People’s Hospital — Medical Furniture Project

Project Background

Huili City People’s Hospital is the primary public healthcare provider for Huili City and the surrounding rural communities in the Liangshan Yi Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province. Serving a large catchment area, the hospital undertook a significant infrastructure upgrade in 2025, requiring a complete refresh of its medical furniture across all departments. ZHOBAI Medical Furniture was commissioned as the one-stop furniture partner, delivering the full project scope under a single purchase order.

The project scope covered the outpatient building, inpatient wards, emergency department, and administrative areas. ZHOBAI’s team conducted an on-site survey prior to production, mapping every nursing station, treatment room, and corridor to produce a detailed furniture layout plan. The finished package — delivered and installed within the contracted programme — included custom nursing station counters, co-ordinated ward furniture sets, sterile storage cabinetry, and full waiting-area seating. All products were certified to Chinese national medical furniture standards and supplied with complete quality documentation.

Scope of Supply

ZHOBAI delivered a fully coordinated furniture package covering every clinical and administrative zone, manufactured in-house to GB/T medical-grade standards. All products were supplied with CE certification and ISO 13485 quality documentation at handover:

• Nursing Stations: Custom-built counter systems with integrated medication storage, dual-zone workflow separation, rounded anti-collision edges, and built-in wiring management, installed across all nursing floors.
• Ward Furniture: Hospital beds with height adjustment, co-ordinated bedside cabinets, folding over-bed tables, escort chairs, and IV stands for all standard ward rooms.
• Treatment & Sterile Rooms: Floor-to-ceiling medical cabinet systems with double-door sterile storage, adjustable shelving, bases elevated 200 mm above floor.
• Outpatient & Emergency Areas: Examination tables, treatment trolleys, emergency medication carts, and rapid-access instrument storage.
• Waiting & Reception Areas: High-capacity waiting seating and reception counter furniture across outpatient lobbies.

Project Highlights

• Zone-Specific Customisation: Nursing station counters were individually dimensioned per floor; ward furniture dimensions were optimised for the hospital’s standard room sizes to maximise patient and carer movement space.
• Value-Optimised Specification: ZHOBAI worked within the hospital’s budget constraints to specify the highest clinical performance at cost, recommending E0-rated board with Trespa work surfaces only at high-disinfection-frequency zones.
• On-Time Delivery: The complete furniture programme was delivered and installed ahead of the department commissioning dates, enabling the hospital to open on schedule.
