Dechang County People’s Hospital — Medical Furniture Fit-Out

Project Background

Dechang County People’s Hospital (???????) is the primary public general hospital for Dechang County, Liangshan Yi Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province. A facility renovation and expansion project in 2024 required a comprehensive medical furniture fit-out covering the outpatient building, inpatient building, emergency department, and clinical support areas. ZHOBAI Medical Furniture was selected as the one-stop furniture partner.

The project prioritised durable, cost-effective furniture solutions suited to the high patient volumes typical of county-level general hospitals in southwest China, while meeting the national GB/T standards required for public hospital procurement. Custom nursing station counters were dimensioned from on-site survey drawings, and the complete ward furniture package was co-ordinated in a clinical colourway aligned to the hospital’s interior design.

Scope of Supply

ZHOBAI delivered a fully coordinated furniture package manufactured in-house to GB/T medical-grade standards, with CE and ISO 13485 documentation at handover:

• Nursing Stations: Custom-built counter systems with integrated medication storage, dual-zone clean/contaminated workflow separation, and anti-collision rounded edges across all inpatient floors and outpatient nursing cores.
• Ward Furniture: Hospital beds with height adjustment, co-ordinated bedside cabinets, over-bed tables, folding escort chairs, and IV stands for all ward room types.
• Outpatient Department: Consultation workstations, examination tables, and infusion chairs across specialist outpatient clinics.
• Emergency Department: Emergency treatment trolleys, resuscitation room support furniture, and emergency waiting seating.
• Sterile & Treatment Rooms: Floor-to-ceiling medical cabinet systems elevated 200 mm above floor, dressing trolleys, and preparation counters.
• Ground-Floor Service Centre: Large-format quadrilateral integrated service counter installed in the first-floor lobby atrium – a continuous four-sided desk housing reception, appointment booking, certificate stamping, and one-stop patient services in a single unified form. Paired with a bespoke circular LED information panel mounted to the central atrium pillar, displaying real-time service directory and department wayfinding. Both pieces were custom-manufactured by ZHOBAI to the hospital’s architectural drawings and interior colour palette.
