Bei’an People’s Hospital — Medical Furniture Project

Project Background

Bei’an People’s Hospital is the primary public healthcare provider for Bei’an City, located in the Heihe area of Heilongjiang Province in northeast China. As part of an infrastructure upgrade programme, the hospital undertook a comprehensive furniture replacement across its inpatient and outpatient facilities. ZHOBAI Medical Furniture was engaged as the one-stop furniture partner, delivering the complete package under a single purchase order with full quality documentation.

The project covered all inpatient nursing floors and the main outpatient building. ZHOBAI conducted an on-site dimensional survey before production, ensuring every nursing station counter and ward furniture set was accurately sized to the actual floor plate — critical in an older building with non-standard room dimensions. The complete package was manufactured, delivered, and installed within the contracted programme, and all products were supplied with a two-year warranty and quality documentation package.

Scope of Supply

ZHOBAI delivered a fully coordinated furniture package manufactured in-house to GB/T medical-grade standards, with CE and ISO 13485 documentation at handover:

• Nursing Stations: Custom-built counter desks with integrated medication storage, clean/contaminated zone separation, and anti-collision rounded edges across all inpatient floors.
• Ward Furniture: Hospital beds with height adjustment, bedside cabinets with lockable patient storage, over-bed tables, folding escort chairs, and IV stands.
• Treatment & Sterile Rooms: Floor-to-ceiling medical cabinet systems with double-door sterile storage elevated 200 mm above floor.
• Outpatient Areas: Examination tables, consultation workstations, and waiting-area seating.
• Reception Areas: Guidance counters and high-capacity waiting seating in main lobbies.

Project Highlights

• Non-Standard Room Adaptation: Every nursing station counter was individually measured and custom-fabricated to fit the structural constraints of an older building.
• Cold-Climate Logistics: Delivery and installation were scheduled to account for severe Heilongjiang winters, with no climate-related delays to the programme.
• Cost-Effective Specification: ZHOBAI maximised clinical performance within budget, specifying Trespa work surfaces at high-use zones and E0-rated board for secondary storage.
• End-to-End Delivery: Survey, manufacturing, delivery, and installation all managed by ZHOBAI’s own project team without sub-contractors.
