Baotou Steel Third Hospital — Medical Furniture Fit-Out

Project Background

Baotou Steel (Group) Third Hospital is a comprehensive general hospital operated under the Baotou Steel Group (包头钢铁集团), serving the occupational health and general medical needs of the group’s employees and their families as well as the wider Baotou community. The hospital’s renovation programme called for a complete medical furniture upgrade across inpatient, outpatient, and administrative zones to Grade II general hospital clinical standards. ZHOBAI Medical Furniture was appointed as the one-stop furniture partner.

The project involved replacing ageing furniture across multiple inpatient floors and the outpatient building simultaneously, with a phased delivery schedule coordinated to minimise disruption to clinical operations. ZHOBAI’s project team conducted a full on-site survey, mapping every nursing station, ward room, and treatment area before production commenced. The complete package — custom nursing station counters, co-ordinated ward furniture sets, and sterile storage cabinetry — was installed floor-by-floor within the agreed programme, with each completed floor inspected and signed off before moving to the next.

Scope of Supply

ZHOBAI delivered a fully coordinated furniture package manufactured in-house to GB/T medical-grade standards, with CE and ISO 13485 documentation at handover:

• Nursing Stations: Custom-built counter systems with integrated medication bays, dual-zone clean/contaminated workflow separation, cable management, and anti-collision rounded edges.
• Ward Furniture: Hospital beds with electric height adjustment, co-ordinated bedside cabinets, over-bed tables, folding escort chairs, and IV stands for all ward room types.
• Treatment & Sterile Rooms: Floor-to-ceiling medical cabinet systems with double-door sterile storage elevated 200 mm above floor.
• Outpatient Department: Consultation workstations, examination tables, instrument stands, and waiting-area seating.
• Administrative Areas: Doctor office desks, ergonomic chairs, and meeting room tables.
